Demonstration of Knowledge in English and Math 

  • Per the Colorado Department of Education, students are required to demonstrate their knowledge in English and Math in order to graduate from GVCA. 

  • Demonstration of Knowledge in English - fulfilled through the Senior Thesis

    The senior thesis involves writing and defending an answer to the following question: “Focus on one element of the GVCA curriculum. What does it reveal about living well?”

  • Demonstration of Knowledge in Math - fulfilled through one of the following options:

    • Get a 500 or above on the math section of the SAT

    • Get a 50 or above on the ASVAB / AFQT 

    • Complete a math capstone project

ICAP

The Individualized Career and Academic Plan (ICAP) is an individualized document that 9th - 12th grade students will be using throughout their time at GVCA to help them dream, plan, and prepare for life after high school.

Students will be meeting with their PGA advisors regularly to discuss their progress and plans that arise from working on their ICAP.
